ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The College Football Playoff National Championship game between Ohio State and Notre Dame is being held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta tonight. It is just the first city to host the CFP championship game twice.
The game is Monday, Jan. 20.
Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. EST. The gates open at Mercedes-Benz Stadium at 4:30 p.m.
The game will air exclusively on ESPN. You can also stream the game on the ESPN app.
Coco Jones, GRAMMY award-winning singer/songwriter and actress who’s currently nominated for Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song with her hit, “Here We Go (Uh Oh),” will perform the National Anthem. Jones, 27, was nominated for five GRAMMY awards in 2024 and won Best R&B Performance for her #1 hit, “ICU.” The Notre Dame and Ohio State marching bands will also be a part of the performance.
“America the Beautiful” will be performed by members of the Spelman College Glee Club.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium can hold up to 75,000 people.
The game is sold out, however, resale tickets are available on all sites, including Ticketmaster, StubHub, Seat Geek, Gametime and other apps. StubHub says the game could set records for prices with the average price of a ticket is $2,500.
