In just a mere few days, the next biggest recruiting day on the college football calendar will take place: National Signing Day.
Many, if not all, of the top 100 prospects in the 2025 recruiting class have already signed with their respective programs back in December during the three-day early signing period, which has allowed some to already join their new teams on campus for spring practices.
But for those who haven’t signed yet, they will get the opportunity to put pen to paper on Wednesday and start preparing for the next step of their playing career. Heading into National Signing Day on Wednesday, No. 3 Texas has the top ranked according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings.
Six of the top 10 players in the 2025 recruiting class are signed to five different SEC programs — Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU and Oklahoma — according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings.

Five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood is ranked as the top player in the 2025 recruiting class per 247Sports Composite rankings. Underwood announced in late November that he was flipping his original commitment from LSU and Brian Kelly to Michigan and Sherrone Moore.
“Honestly, when I had to figure out where my perspective was on everything that will help my family out the most,” Underwood told the Detroit Free Press on when Michigan came back into the picture during his recruiting process. “And also, me knowing that I got to go to school as well.”
Rounding out the top five best players in the 2025 class are QB Keelon Russell (Alabama signee), QB Tavien St. Clair (Ohio State), DL Elijah Griffin (Georgia) and WR Dakorien Moore (Oregon) in numerical order.

Heading into Wednesday’s National Signing Day, the top unsigned player in the 2025 recruiting class is four-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood, the No. 25 ranked player in the class per 247Sports’ composite rankings.
As of Tuesday, Jan. 28, there is no crystal ball prediction for Haywood on 247Sports. However, the recruiting website does have “warm” listed next to Michigan and Florida State among the teams that Haywood holds offers from.
