On Sunday, CBS Sports’ Gary Parrish updated his college basketball Top 25 and 1 rankings. Parrish’s list saw a major shakeup this week after 11 ranked teams suffered losses on Saturday.
The SEC boasted nine teams in Parrish’s latest rankings, the most of any conference in the country. Alas, the SEC also saw its total number of teams on Parrish’s list decrease due to Vanderbilt falling 97-67 to Oklahoma on Saturday.
With so many insane outcomes and talented teams to cover, let’s dive into Parrish’s latest college basketball Top 25 and 1 rankings.

Amid all the chaos in college basketball, Auburn has been as solid as a rock. On Saturday, Auburn improved its conference play record to 8-0 with a 92-82 win over Ole Miss.
As usual, Johni Broome led the way for the Tigers. The veteran big man tallied 20 points and 12 rebounds in the triumph while racking up four assists and two blocks as well. Auburn holds sole possession of the No. 1 spot in the SEC standings.

Duke looks more dangerous by the day. On Saturday, the Blue Devils looked unaffected by the pressures of their rivalry showdown against North Carolina, defeating the Tar Heels 87-70.

Alabama is leading the nation in points per game this season and now Georgia knows why. The Crimson Tide dominated the Bulldogs 90-69 on Saturday. Mark Sears continued his redemption campaign after being benched two games ago.
Sears led all scorers with 20 points. However, he was far from the only standout for Alabama. Grant Nelson finished with a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double in the win. In total, the Crimson Tide had five players score double figures.

It was a tale of two games this week for Tennessee. After suffering a relatively shocking loss at home against Kentucky on Tuesday, the Volunteers bounced back and downed Florida in stunning 64-44 fashion on Saturday.
Tennessee was without starters Zakai Zeigler and Igor Milicic Jr. in the win. Even more wild, Tennessee lost 73-43 with a fully healthy roster when it faced off against Florida earlier this season. The victory on Saturday will do wonders for Tennessee’s résumé when March comes around.

Florida fell one spot due to its loss to Tennessee but Parrish hasn’t lost confidence in the Gators. After all, their last showing before the loss on Saturday was a comfortable 89-59 beatdown on Georgia.
All eyes will be on Walter Clayton Jr. in the coming days. The standout guard sprained his ankle in the first half against the Volunteers. Clayton returned to the game in the second half with his ankle taped but he lacked the explosiveness he normally plays with. Now, Florida fans can only hope for Clayton to recover quickly.

For the first time this season, Iowa State is on a two-game losing streak. After falling to Arizona in overtime on Monday, the Cyclones sputtered again on Saturday, suffering an 80-61 blowout loss against Kansas State.

Marquette wasn’t able to top UConn on Saturday, losing 77-69 to the Huskies. The Golden Eagles struggled early in the Big East matchup, shooting 8-25 from the field and 10-20 from the charity stripe in the first half.
Moreover, Marquette missed their first seven 3-point attempts. Ultimately, the Golden Eagles’ slow start proved to be their downfall. Despite outscoring UConn by five points in the second half, Marquette suffered a 7-point loss.

Michigan State was just another ranked loss in a long line of upsets on Saturday. The Spartans fell 70-64 to USC on the road. It was Michigan State’s first in conference play and first loss, in general, since Nov. 26.
Michigan State’s Jeremy Fears and Jaden Adkins combined for 23 points but no other Spartans scored double-digits. MSU had trouble at the free-throw line, converting just 11-of-its-19 attempts in the loss.

Despite losing three of its last four games, Kentucky only fell one spot in Parrish’s rankings on Sunday. The Wildcats’ latest loss undoubtedly hurt Big Blue Nation the most. On Saturday, John Calipari returned to Rupp Arena and led his Razorbacks to a jaw-dropping 89-79 win over Kentucky.
The Rupp Arena crowd was left in silence as perhaps’ their most highly-anticipated game of the season turned into a waking nightmare. The Wildcats’ defense continued to be their weakness in the loss, allowing Arkansas to shoot 55.2% from the field and 52% from downtown.
