While the Boise State offense is ascending, their defense appears to be regressing, ranking 86th entering Saturday in points allowed on a per possession basis overall this season and their lone game away this season against San Francisco has them 341st in points allowed on a per possession basis in games played away from home.
Hampton +23.5 (Greg’s Handicap Hampton +15)

Much of Rhode Island’s early success has come by leading the country in free throw attempts per game and opponents shooting 26.4% from 3-point range. Charleston is making 37.6% of their 3-point shots and is in the top 100 nationally in fewest fouls committed per defensive plays, which will poke holes in both of Rhode Island’s strengths.
Charleston +2.5 (Greg’s Handicap Charleston -2.5)

Wright State went through an offseason coaching change, but still has the same characteristics of last season’s team including a massive weakness on defense, entering Saturday 312th in points allowed on a per possession basis. After ranking 343rd in this category last season, they must defend a South Florida team that is shooting 35.2% from 3-point range on the road and averaging more points per possession than Wright State is.
South Florida -1.5 (Greg’s Handicap South Florida -3)

Campbell entered Saturday 307th in the country in total possessions per game and 234th in points scored per possession and faces an Evansville unit that is in the bottom half of the country in possessions per game and is 274th in points scored per possession.

Arkansas Pine Bluff has been the worst team in the country in points allowed on a per possession basis, but has enough offense to get within the number, scoring at least 64 points in five straight games. They entered the weekend in the top 150 nationally in 2-point shooting percentage and are facing a Missouri team who’s 111-39 destruction of Mississippi Valley State has their metrics overinflated by this outlier.
Arkansas Pine Bluff +35 (Greg’s Handicap Arkansas Pine Bluff +26.5)
