Power Picks stats
Going one mile on the turf, this starter allowance features Tirupati, who drops out of the Grade 1 Matriarch, as HRN Power Picks’ top selection and just edging out Starts Now. The morning line has Tirupati at 3-1, though AI projections expect those odds to drift to 4-1. The pace scenario looks potentially fast with a score of 79, suggesting several could press the pace here. Annie’s Joy at 5-2 on the morning line is another key contender but comes in third in the Power Picks rankings, while AI odds project her going off at 2-1. HRN’s Power Picks indicate Tirupati’s trainer Jonathan Thomas and jockey Kazushi Kimura form a strong combination.
Echo Lane stands out as a strong top choice, earning a decisive 55 on HRN’s Power Picks with clear, 23-point separation from Ramblin’ Wreck. The odds tell an interesting story here. Echo Lane is expected to shorten from a morning line of 3-1 to 8-5, with fair odds suggesting 2-1 represents true value. The moderate pace-projection score of 63 could benefit horses who can secure forward position. Trained by Rohan Crichton and ridden by Luis Saez, Echo Lane has top ratings across all categories including speed figures, trainer, and jockey. With a large field of 12 runners, post position and trip will be crucial factors. Navy Seal at 6-1 could be an interesting price, ranking third in Power Picks.
This stakes race shows a dead heat in HRN’s rankings with Guns Loaded and Septarian both scoring tops in this field. Guns Loaded is projected to see heavy betting action, likely dropping from 5-2 morning line to 8-5 off odds, with fair odds of 3-2 suggesting this might be warranted. This race features one of the day’s hottest pace scenarios with a 99 score, indicating speed horses could be vulnerable while closers might find the setup advantageous. The field of seven after scratches includes Macho Music who ranks third in Power Picks and AI fair odds project at 7-2. Guns Loaded brings strong connections with trainer Jose D’Angelo and jockey Luis Saez, who have been having a strong meet.
In this Ginger Brew Stakes, Nitrogen leads the Power Picks ahead of Civetta as a second choice. The morning line favorite at 5-2, Nitrogen is expected to firm up to 2-1 in the betting with fair odds suggesting an even shorter at 7-5. A moderate pace score of 56 suggests a moderate race flow. Trained by Mark Casse and ridden by Jose Ortiz, Nitrogen brings top connections to this stake race.
Jetovator tops the Power Picks selections as a slight pick over Double Jab in this allowance optional claiming race. Trainer Peter Eurton and jockey Edwin Maldonado team up with Jetovator, and their combination has been effective in these types of races. The AI projections expect Jetovator to shorten to 5-2 at the windows, aligning with the fair odds at that price, and Double Jab is projected to drop to 5-2 as well, but his true value may be 8-5 according to fair odds. The race should see a moderate to fast pace scenario based on the 59 score.
