MOREHEAD, Ky. — Claudia Hofmeister, a junior transfer from Delaware State, has signed with the Morehead State Women’s Golf program. Hofmeister will join the team for the spring 2025 season but will start play in the fall of 2025.
She is a native of Tampa, Fla.
“Claudia brings to our program two and a half years of experience and success at the college level, as well as leadership skills which will have an immediate and lasting effect on our program,” said head coach Stephanie Barker. “The team and I are excited she will be joining us this spring.”
In the fall of 2024, she posted a strong scoring average of 75.1 at DSU and captured two collegiate victories. In just four events, she either won or finished in the top five. Her first collegiate victory came at the Thomas W. Dortch Jr. HBCU Classic in Stone Mountain, Ga., and her second win came at the Eastside Golf Invitational in Frisco, Texas.
Hofmeister also has experience competing on the international stage. In the spring of 2024, she participated in the Ladies European Tour’s Aramco Team Series, where she held her own against tour professionals, shooting rounds of 75 and 73.
Hofmeister was a multiple-time all-conference selection in her time on the Plant High School team.
