CLARKSBURG, W.Va (WDTV) – A unique event will be coming to Riverbend Mini Golf at the Veteran’s Park in Clarksburg this weekend!
On Saturday, August 17th, the mini golf course will be open until 11 p.m. for Glow in the Dark Mini Golf, according to City Parks of Clarksburg officials.
The lights will be turned off, and players will use glowing golf balls and neon glow sticks to tackle the course, organizers said.
On the last weekend before school starts for many, this is a great opportunity to have one last, family fun night out.
“This is a first for us,” said Director Doug Comer of the City Parks. “At traditional golf courses, they offer night golf and use glow balls and sticks. We are going to replicate that here at the mini golf course this weekend. At dark, we will use the same type of lighted ball to play as they use on the course. Also, there will be glow sticks in the hole for targets as well as directional glow sticks to help navigate between holes. It will be a fun experience for those who play.”
The course will be open during the day as usual, but once dark sets, you should see plenty of neon colors coming from the course.
Doors open at noon and will close at 11 p.m. At 8:45 p.m., they will pause to set up the course, organizers said.
Fees will be the same as daily prices.
There will be photo opportunities, as well!
