This week’s “Monday Night Football” matchup is a battle of two playoff contenders, as the undefeated Chiefs host the Buccaneers.
The defending-champion Chiefs enter the game as the lone undefeated team remaining in the NFL with a 7-0 record. Kansas City has a 13-game winning streak dating back to last season, with six of those victories coming at home.

Despite the success, the Chiefs haven’t lit up the scoreboards as Patrick Mahomes has just eight touchdowns and nine interceptions. However, the Chiefs defense is one of the best in the league, and are one of five teams allowing under 300 yards per game on the year.
As for Tampa Bay, the Buccaneers are 4-4 on the season, one game back of the first-place Falcons in the NFC South. However, Tampa Bay has lost two straight and three of its last four games, so the Buccaneers are looking to get back on track Monday night.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield is having another strong season, as he’s already totaled 2,189 passing yards with a 21 touchdowns, which lead the league entering Week 9. However, he also has nine interceptions on the year, one behind Jordan Love for the league lead.
