The Kansas City Chiefs were able to rest last weekend after defeating the Baltimore Ravens on the opening Thursday night kickoff game. Players and coaches spent the extra days off doing various activities, including the notable outing involving Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.
During the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, Travis shares his experience at the US Open tennis championship in New York City last weekend. He revealed that he had his mind on the game, not tennis but instead NFL Sunday football action.
“Are you kidding me? Yes, it’s perfect,” said Travis. “It’s f****** the first Sunday of the NFL season; you think I was going to miss a one o’clock start?”
Kelce thanked YouTube TV for being able to watch four games at once while at the event.
“These games were like right in the second quarter, halftime, going into the second half,” said Kelce. “It was prime time for any NFL fan, and I’ve always been a fan first.”
The quiet tennis stadium didn’t affect the multiple-time Pro Bowler as he didn’t need commentators to enjoy the game.
“The volume was down,” Kelce said. “I wasn’t listening to the volume.”
