The Chiefs didn’t get in the end zone in the third quarter, but running back Kareem Hunt found it on the first play of the fourth quarter.
Hunt powered in from two yards out to give the Chiefs a 22-10 lead over the Steelers. The Chiefs went for two after the score, but Patrick Mahomes’s pressured throw was picked off in the end zone.
The Chiefs drove 77 yards in 11 plays for the score, including a 12-yard pass to wide receiver Hollywood Brown that looked like it might have hit the ground before Brown secured the ball. There was no replay assist to overturn the catch and the Chiefs hurried to the line to run their next play to prevent any chance for the Steelers to challenge the call.
The Steelers only had the ball once in the third quarter and a long drive ended with a field goal when the Chiefs sacked Russell Wilson for the third time on the afternoon.
