NFL Week 17 picks: Why you should consider Lions, Panthers and Colts
Lorenzo Reyes is back with his three best bets ahead of Week 17 games. Find out why he likes the Lions, Panthers and Colts to cover the spread.
The NFL has gifted its fans two games to watch on Christmas Day, and the first one features the back-to-back Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs (14-1) traveling to face the Pittsburgh Steelers (10-5).
Last week started with questions about Patrick Mahomes’ health, and it ended with the quarterback being just fine with a signature performance against the Houston Texans. Now the defending champions are one win away from clinching the No. 1 seed in the AFC, which would allow them to cruise in the final week of the regular season.
Two games against two tough opponents have resulted in two straight losses for Pittsburgh, the latest coming against the rival Baltimore Ravens. The comfortable lead in the AFC North is no longer there, and the Steelers must get back on track if they want to hold onto the division.
The Chiefs are favorites to defeat the Steelers, according to the BetMGM NFL odds. Not interested in this game? Check out expert picks and best bets for every NFL game this week.

This will be a fascinating matchup, as the Chiefs are looking to lock up the No. 1 seed in the AFC and the Steelers are looking to end a two-game skid, with the Ravens on their heels in the AFC North. Pittsburgh isn’t putting up enough points right now to back them confidently in this spot.
The Chiefs officially clinch the No. 1 seed with a win. They aren’t going to let the opportunity slip away. Kansas City’s passing attack looks improved with Hollywood Brown in the lineup.
As much as I’d love the Steelers to steal one here, it’s hard to pick against the NFL’s darlings for the league’s first Netflix game. Rigged!
Pittsburgh hasn’t looked great against some quality opponents. While the home crowd will be rocking, Kansas City will emerge victorious and lock up the top seed in the AFC.
