He was married to Margie Moorehead Morris on Aug. 31, 2000, in Vienna, by Judge Ronald J. Rice, a lifetime friend. Chuck and Margie were a “couple of gypsies” going between their home in Girard to the farm in Venus, Pa. They also made many trips to their camp in Benezette, Pa., and spent the winter months in their home in Bushnell, Florida.
He enjoyed building a job, farming, riding his Harley and cooking. He hunted all over the United States and Canada. He coached Little League baseball for 12 years. He was a member of the Cortland Masonic Lodge #529, the Scottish Rite, Operating Engineers Local 66, Fryburg Sportsman Club and Sinnemahoning Sportsman Club.
He is survived by his wife, Margie; sons, Greg (Amie) of Asheville, North Carolina, Ron (Joyce) of Salem and Chuck III (Jaime) of Girard; and daughter, Sara Childers of Ten Mile Lake, Oregon; his sister, Jane Dahman of Fowler; brothers-in-law, Mark (Liane) Moorehead of Benezette, Pa., and Ken (MaryLou) Moorehead of Oil City, Pa.; sisters-in-law, Brenda (Doug) Warner of Cranberry, Pa., and Mary Campbell of Meadville, Pa.; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Kenneth and Florence Moorehead; and brothers-in-law, Eric Moorehead, Russell Campbell and William Dahman.
