The Arizona Cardinals are not in the playoffs but some future Cardinals players could be, as free agency begins in March.
The Los Angeles Chargers and Houston Texans play the first game of the weekend in the wild card round, kicking off Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET.
The Chargers have a number of players scheduled to hit free agency.
Here are some of those soon-to-be free agents who could be potential fits or targets for the Cardinals.
QB Taylor Heinicke
While it is probably unlikely that the Cardinals will pursue any quarterback in free agency, many believe they should. Heinicke could give the Cardinals a better backup option than Clayton Tune.
CB Kristian Fulton
It will be interesting to see if cornerback will be a priority after signing Sean Murphy-Bunting last year, especially after drafting Max Melton in 2024 and the emergence of Garrett Williams. But Fulton was drafted by the Tennessee Titans when Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort was their director or player personnel. Fulton could be a player to watch if the position is addressed.
WR DJ Chark
It seems like his name comes up every offseason. He had a disappointing 2024 with only four catches in seven games, but he has size and blazing speed. He seems to be a perfect fit, so if the Cardinals are looking for a receiver this offseason, he fits the profile.
LB Troy Dye
The Cardinals could be moving on from Kyzir White. Dye is not a starter for the Chargers but does play a ton on special teams and perhaps is ready to make a Mack Wilson-like move.
WR Joshua Palmer
He had 39 catches for 584 yards this past season and is only 25 years old.
