DETROIT – A number of celebrities and former athletes are at Ford Field for the biggest regular season game in NFL history as the Detroit Lions host the Minnesota Vikings in the first-ever battle of 14-2 teams.
MLive photographers spotted NFL greats: Barry Sanders, Calvin Johnson and Drew Brees on the sidelines before the game, along with former Lions tight end, Eric Ebron. Not to mention, the “Sunday Night Football” crew.
“Twilight” franchise star, and Michigan native, Taylor Lautner and his wife, Taylor Dome, were spotted wearing Lions jackets.
Drew Brees brought his kids to the game and we saw Sheila Ford Hamp, Martha Ford and William Clay Ford Jr. together on the field before the game.
Model and actress, and wife of Lions QB Jared Goff, Christen Harper Goff, was also making the rounds on the sidelines before kickoff.
Eminem and Pistons great Chauncey Billups are at the game and were both shown on the video board in the first half.
We have also spotted a number of other local stars at big Lions games like this, like Keegan-Michael Key, Bob Seger, Jeff Daniels, Tim Allen, Big Sean and Ninja.
Performing the national anthem before kickoff is S.O.U.L. (Shades of United Ladies), an R&B female quartet from Detroit.
The halftime performer is Michigan native and MSU alum, Quinn XCII. The pop/reggae musician is a platinum-selling artist.
The winner of the game takes the NFC North, gets the coveted No. 1 seed, first round playoff bye and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
The loser will be the No. 5 seed and play on the road against Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams in round one of the playoffs next week.
