HELENA, Mont. – Head Coach Bennett MacIntyre has announced the signings of 13 incoming freshmen who will join the Carroll College Men’s and Women’s golf teams this Fall.
 
A pair of young teams get even younger, as both the Carroll Men’s and Women’s Golf teams welcome in historically large recruiting classes.
 
Underclassmen made up the bulk of the Carroll rosters at last year’s Frontier Conference / Red River Conference Championships, and the new additions surely will look to challenge for those same spots this upcoming season.
 
“We are super excited to add depth like this.” Said MacIntyre. “This class is going to push the returners right away and I’m already looking forward to the competition to see who rises to the occasion to make the travel roster. Even more impressive than their play is the academic backgrounds they bring and their excitement to come and be part of the Helena community. Besides playing golf this group is going to be involved in campus, and as a coach it was really fun recruiting this large class and working with all the families. The Fighting Saints definitely improved with this class.”
 
The 2024 recruiting class features multiple Montana All-State Selections, as well as several recruits, including a pair of twins, from Idaho. Academically, the newcomers are among the best and brightest, continuing a long tradition of outstanding Carroll student-athletes.

Bryant Nguyen-Cunningham | Tualatin, Ore. | Tualatin HS

OSAA Academic All-State selection. Graduated with a 3.98 GPA

 

Thomas Derden | Eagle, Idaho | Bishop Kelly HS

Varsity Letterman, Idaho 4A district team champions in 2022 (spring), 2022 (fall), 2023, graduated with a 4.02 GPA

Hudson Reinke | Filer, Idaho | Filer HS

Four-year team captain, Idaho 3A High school second place (’23) fifth place (’22) finisher, 2022 Idaho Junior Club Champion. Multiple top-3 finishes in Junior events

 

David Ramshaw | Billings, Mont. | Billings Central Catholic HS

All-Conference selection, two-time third place finish at Eastern Conference Championships

 

Noah Haffey | Missoula, Mont. | Loyola Sacred Heart HS

Multiple top ten finishes in High School events, 2023 All-Conference Selection, Eighth place finish at Montana State Championship

 

Levi Bohrer | Deer Lodge, Mont. | Powell County HS

11^th place finish at 2022 Montana State Championship, All-State selection, All-Conference selection

Lauren Mayala | Billings, Mont. | Billings Senior HS

Three-time Montana Class AA All-State selection, 2021 Second place Divisional qualifier, Montana Class AA Team third (’21), second (’22), state champions (’23).

 

The 2024-25 Fighting Saints will report to campus later this month, beginning course preparation for their first tournament of the year at Marias Valley Golf Course in Shelby, Mont. in September.
