Carlos Alcaraz has taken a leaf out of Emma Raducanu’s book after crashing out of the US Open in the early stages this year.
The Spaniard was one of the hot favourites to go all the way and win the US Open this year after winning Wimbledon earlier in the summer.
But the world No. 3 suffered a shock loss to unseeded star Botic van de Zandsculp in the second round, leaving many fans stunned.
Jannik Sinner went on to win the competition after beating Taylor Fritz in the final with the Italian claiming his second Grand Slam of the year.

And the 21-year-old now has had a chance to reflect on his tournament as a whole now that the dust has settled.
He is set to return to the tennis court this week in a Davis Cup group stage as Spain take on Czechia on Wednesday in Group B.
As he prepares for the competition, Alcaraz said: “[The North-American swing] was a tour that I hoped would be better.
“I haven’t managed to play at the level I would have liked.
“But in the end it’s very difficult to perform at the level you want every day and you have to be prepared to accept things as they come.

The Briton crashed out in the first round after a shock loss to Sofia Kenin to leave her in tears.
“Yeah, I would have preferred to probably play, a little bit more before coming into the US Open,” Raducanu said after wiping away tears.
Raducanu had not played much at all in the build-up to the Flushing Meadows tournament, opting to skip the Olympics and ignoring the chance to play in the qualifying events at the WTA 1000s in Canada and Cincinnati.
