Carlos Alcaraz arrived at Rotterdam airport for the ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam and after not being in the best health prior to the tournament, he also endured the long wait at the airport when picking up his bags.

As a big sporting name, Alcaraz of course had a driver ready for him but also the tournament ambassador Jan Kooijman who had to give him some Dutch gifts including tuilps, stroopwafels and a clog keychain to make up for it.

The Spaniard looked glum as despite landing an hour and a half prior, he had to wait an hour for his bags. He is top seed over the next week for the tournament which starts on Monday January 3.

It is his debut in the ATP 500 tournament after a week of training at the Ferrero Tennis Academy in Villena. Although after battling a cold, similar to the ATP Finals in November, he will look to return with his first title of the year.

The 21-year-old has not been accompanied by his coach Juan Carlos Ferrero either. He remains in Villena. He will start his campaign likely on Tuesday or Wednesday with the draw being on Saturday.
