Great Britain’s Cameron Norrie has been forced to withdraw from the men’s singles at the Paris Olympics due to an injury.
The British No 2 had been due to face the Netherlands’ Tallon Griekspoor on Court 10 in the first round on Sunday.
However, after Marie Lourdes beat Tatjana Maria 6-0 6-0 in the first match on the court, Norrie’s retirement from this summer’s Olympics was announced.
The LTA – Britain’s governing body for tennis – posted on X: ‘Sadly Cam Norrie has been forced to withdraw from TeamGB at the Olympics due to injury. Hope to see you back on court soon, Cam.’
Norrie becomes the third tennis player to withdraw from the Paris Olympics after world No 6 Alex De Minaur and Ukraine’s Anhelina Kalinina.

He was set to make his Olympics debut but will now have to wait until LA 2028 to make his debut in the competition.
Petros Tsitsipas of Greece will replace the 28-year-old in the men’s singles draw.
He is the younger brother of Stefanos Tsitsipas, with the pair set to compete in the men’s doubles event.
Norrie’s withdrawal means Daniel Evans and Jack Draper are Team GB’s only hopes of securing a medal at the games this summer.
Evans overcame an injury scare to beat Tunisia’s Moez Echargui in the first round, while Draper takes on Kei Nishikori of Japan in his opening contest.
