NFL fans didn’t have to wait until Sunday to see Super Bowl action start in New Orleans.
Streamers Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed joined former NFL players like Cam Newton in a celebrity flag football game streamed Saturday on the NFL’s YouTube channel.
Newton showed off his skills at quarterback by throwing a game-winning touchdown pass to Quavo and sealing the victory for Team Speed.
Angel Reese, who coached Team Kai, got heated with referee Druski early in the game.
The game featured some highlight-reel runs from Diana Flores, captain of the Mexican national flag football team, and Darrell Doucette, captain of the U.S. national team.
Newton returned to the field in his signature style as he quarterbacked for the winning team in a hat and loafers.
Michael Vick meanwhile showed off his skills as Team Kai’s quarterback by finding Ki’Lolo Westerlund with a no-look touchdown pass.
It wasn’t all about offense, as Teyana Taylor showed off her defensive skills for Team Kai.
It was Newton who got the last laugh with his game-winning touchdown pass to Quavo.
Speed brought the flag football trophy into the crowd to celebrate with fans after the win.
