SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Cal Poly women’s golf third year head coach Courtney Roberts has announced the signing of three players to her 2025 recruiting class.
Joining the Mustangs are Taylor Baker from Sacramento, Alex Flier from Los Angeles, and Maddy Saysanasongkham from San Diego. All three are high school seniors and will join the Mustangs in the fall of 2025.
“We are extremely excited to announce the signing of our 2025 recruiting class,” Roberts said. “Alex, Maddy & Taylor are big time recruits who love the game, work incredibly hard and aspire for greatness in all they do. They will continue to push this program forward to new heights. We can’t wait to have them on campus next year impacting our program.”
“I believe our 2025 recruiting class is the strongest to date and reflects the positive direction the program is heading.”
Baker has been one of the top players in northern California the last several years. Playing at Rio Americano High School in Sacramento, she recently became the first person from Rio Americano to win the CIF Individual NorCal Championship. She also had a third place finish at the IMG Academy Junior World Championship with rounds of 70, 67, and 70, made the quarterfinals of the Women’s Western Juniors and made the round of 64 at the U.S. Girls Junior Championship.
At Rio Americano, Baker broke all the school’s women’s golf records and was both Team MVP and All-League all four years. Off the course, she boasts a 4.0 GPA all four years and plans to major in business at Cal Poly.
“Taylor is competitive, hardworking and embodies the characteristics we look for in a student-athlete,” Roberts said of Baker. “She grew up a big Cal Poly fan, spending holidays in SLO and still has family in the area making it extra special to be able to finally announce her joining our team.”
