RICHMOND, Va. (Feb. 19, 2025) – Charleston’s Emma Schmipf earned Women’s Golfer of the Week following a top-five individual finish in Spartan Sun Coast Classic.

Schimpf shined at the Spartan Sun Coast Classic in a loaded 15-team field, featuring Ohio State, Michigan State, Oklahoma and Michigan, helping Charleston to a fourth-place finish. The South Carolina product finished in a three-way tie for fifth with a 3-under 213 on the Palm Aire Country Club course. She came out firing a 4-under 68 in the opening round, sinking three birdies and finishing with an eagle on the par-five 11th hole to negate an early bogey. After a tough second round going 2-over 74, Schimpf bounced back with a 71 in the final round after going bogey-free on the back nine to complement two birdies and a bogey on the front end. The senior led the field in par 3s scoring (2.67) and was third in total pars (40).
