A fourth-quarter scare wasn’t enough as a dominant first half from Elon (11-6, 5-1) proved to be vital in a 69-67 victory over Delaware (4-12, 1-5).
The Phoenix put up 43 first-half points on 19-of-33 shooting while holding the Blue Hens to just 26 in the first two frames. After allowing a quick 3-pointer to start the second quarter, Elon went on a 13-3 run, jumpstarted by a Raven Preston layup. Four players made shots during the run, including Laila Anderson, who had a first-half high of nine. The Phoenix dominated in the paint, scoring 26 of their 43 from down low while having 20 points come from the bench. Rebecca Demeke had a team-high 13 for Delaware.
Charleston 58, Drexel 56

Amaris Baker did it again and helped Drexel (8-8, 4-2) pull away in the final seconds of the fourth quarter to secure a 58-56 victory over Charleston (12-5, 3-3).
With 21 seconds on the clock, it was déjà vu for Baker, who hit a deep jumper from the corner to put Drexel up 56-53. Despite being down 43-33 with 5:43 left in the contest, the Dragons battled back with a 14-4 run of its own, culminating with Baker’s clutch shot. The reigning CAA Co-Player of the Week led the game with 19 points on 7-16 shooting alongside four rebounds, while Charleston’s Lara Rohkohl had a team-high 16.
Hampton 61, Towson 58

Jasha Clinton caught fire in the final minutes of the game for Hampton (5-13, 1-6) to capture a 61-58 win against Towson (4-13, 2-4).
Knotted at 56 with 46 seconds on the clock, Clinton proved the difference maker scoring five straight points to give Hampton its first conference win. Driving into the lane, Clinton scored a quick layup to put the Pirates ahead by two, before converting three consecutive free throws. Clinton led all scorers with 19 points and saw 13 of them fall in the fourth quarter. Kayla Morris flirted with a double-double for Towson, scoring 14 and grabbing seven points.
William & Mary 78, UNCW 55

Forty-seven first-half points were enough for William & Mary (7-10, 4-2) to earn a 78-55 victory over UNCW (9-10, 3-3).
Nine of the Tribe’s 11 players to check into the contest in the first half tallied points, as William & Mary had one of its most efficient scoring halves. Shooting 48.6% from the field and 45.5% from deep, the Tribe eclipsed its season averages in both categories. Kayla Rolph led the way with 11 points and six boards on 5-of-6 shooting, while four other players had five or more points. Defensively, the Tribe locked down the Seahawks, outscoring its opposition, 24-14, in the paint and capitalizing on UNCW’s mistakes with 11 points coming off of turnovers. The Seahawks were led bu Ali Zelaya who notched a double double with 10-points and 10 rebounds.
Hofstra 55, Campbell 47

Emma Von Essen and Chloe Sterling combined for 31 points as Hofstra (9-8, 4-2) registered a 55-47 triumph over Campbell (10-8, 3-3).
Von Essen was impressive from behind the arc, knocking down a game-high four 3-pointers and leading to her game-high 16 points. Despite Hofstra carrying a three-point lead into the fourth quarter, the game was quickly knotted at 39. Sterling took over shortly after, scoring seven points on an 8-2 Hofstra run to put the game out of Campbell’s reach. Sterling would finish the quarter with nine points on a perfect 3-for-3 shooting from the field as Hofstra earned its fourth conference victory. Gianni Boone led Campbell with 11 points.
Stony Brook 62, Northeastern 46

An all-round team effort gave Stony Brook (9-9, 4-3) a 62-46 win over Northeastern (1-14, 0-6).
With Chloe Oliver (10 points) being the only double-digit scorer for the Seawolves, Stony Brook relied on its tough defense to grind out a victory. Ranking top 10 in the nation in 3-point defense, the Seawolves held Northeastern to 4-for-20 shooting from deep and 19-for-53 from the field. Stony Brook forced the Huskies into 21 turnovers, scoring 17 points off the miscues and never gave Northeastern the lead, despite being tied twice in the contest. Yirsy Queliz led the Huskies and the game with 17 points.
Monmouth 54, N.C. A&T 49

An 18-point effort from Damaris Rodriguez helped Monmouth (9-9, 4-3) register a 54-49 victory against N.C. A&T (10-8, 6-1).
Taking a 31-19 lead into halftime, the Aggies came back late in the fourth to make it a one-possession game with 38 seconds on the clock. After an offensive turnover from Rodriguez, A&T found themselves with the ball and eight seconds on the clock. The Aggies’ 3-point attempt to tie the game was blocked by Monmouth’s Kemari Reynolds, who went down to the other side of the court to hit two free throws, ending A&T’s eight-game win streak. Jordyn Dorsey filled out the stat sheet for the Aggies with 17 points, four rebounds and four assists.
