LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – Phase One of the Buena Vista Sports Complex is expected to open within the next two months.
This initial stage will offer the public access to 10 baseball fields, two multi-purpose fields, playgrounds and other amenities.
Located in South Laredo, city officials are eager to see this area thrive and experience significant growth.
According to Laredo City Councilmember for District 1, Gilbert Gonzalez, “That development you see outside the sports complex, we’re gonna have fire station 16. We’re gonna have the South PD sector. Pretty soon, there’s gonna come hotel chains, and, also bar and grills All that is in the near future.”
Phase One of the project came at a cost of $45M.
