The Milwaukee Bucks are within striking distance of a top-three seed in the Eastern Conference.
The team is hoping to advance further in the playoffs this season after a disappointing first-round exit last year. To give the Bucks a better chance of that, FanSided predicts that Milwaukee will trade for Bradley Beal of the Phoenix Suns in a three-team trade scenario featuring the Miami Heat.
The trade would send Khris Middleton, Bobby Portis, MarJon Beauchamp, and a 2031 first-round pick (via Phoenix) to Miami and Jimmy Butler and Delon Wright to Phoenix. Butler has been linked to the Bucks as a possible trade candidate, though there’s confusion about his desire to join the franchise.
If the Bucks are unable to acquire Butler, they could still add some star power through this trade.
Beal is a rock-solid scorer at all three levels and would take a heavy load off of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard‘s shoulders.
Middleton, on the other hand, has moved to a bench role, is often hurt, and isn’t putting up the same production that helped the Bucks win a championship in 2021. Though it may be hard, the Bucks may need to move on from him to chase another ring.
While Beal no longer puts up the same numbers he used to, being in a situation where the ball sticks in his hands more often could help him reignite more of his scoring touch and free Antetokounmpo up to inflict even more damage inside the paint.
Having at least three reliable scorers deep in playoff games is a luxury any contender would die to have, especially down the stretch where every possession matters.
