Sports Seriously
“Monday Night Football” in Week 7 is another doubleheader. The night starts off with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking on the Baltimore Ravens in a battle of 4-2 teams. The game features defending MVP Lamar Jackson and current NFL passing touchdown leader Baker Mayfield.
When Tampa Bay’s defense is on the field it will face a tough test against the Ravens offense, which is averaging 471 yards per game over their current four-game winning streak. That matchup also will include battles between two of the biggest players in the NFL: Baltimore right guard Daniel Faalele and Tampa Bay defensive lineman Vita Vea.

Here’s how the Faalele and Vea rank among the biggest players in the NFL in 2024.
The Ravens’ guard played rugby as a kid and became a four-star recruit out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. He played college at Minnesota and was the 110th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL draft. After two seasons in a backup role on the offensive line, he’s started six games for the Ravens this year.
Brown’s long been one of the biggest players in the NFL. A seventh-round draft pick in the 2015 NFL draft out of Florida, Brown spent three years with the 49ers before two stints with the New England Patriots (2018, 2021-23) and a stop with the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders. He signed with the Bengals prior to the 2024 season and is currently on injured reserve.
Following a solid career at Ohio State, Jones was selected 111th overall in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL draft. He’s played in 18 games over the last two seasons and started 14 of them, including five this season. He is currently the backup right tackle behind Browns starter Jack Conklin.
Sweat started all five years for the Texas Longhorns on the defensive line and was a second-round pick for the Titans (38th overall) in the 2024 NFL draft. He’s started all six Titans games this season and recorded 17 tackles, including two for a loss.
Like Faalele, Mailata is a native of Australia who grew up playing rugby. He did not play college football and instead made it to the NFL through the International Player Pathway Program. Philadelphia drafted him in the seventh round, 233rd overall in the 2018 NFL draft. He saw his first action in the 2020 NFL season and has been a full-time starter since 2021.
