Bronwyn Newport is opening up about her cosmetic procedures.
On Season 5, Episode 4 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, the Bravo newbie was hashing out a few differences with Britani Bateman when she joked about her various nose jobs over the years.
After dismissing the “gold digger” and “evil stepmother” archetypes thrown her way, Bronwyn offered Britani a less “boring” dig.
“If Britani wanted to say that I’m on my third nose and that is vain, yes, bitch, it is! I am on my third nose!” Bronwyn quipped. “That would be a read that I would be like, ‘Bravo! This bitch truly came to play today.'”
In 2020 Instagram Stories now saved to a Highlight on her page, Bronwyn documented her past rhinoplasties and explained why she decided to undergo multiple surgeries.
She first shared a few photos of herself “pre original rhinoplasty” (with her husband, Todd Bradley) to showcase what her nose used to look like.
Bronwyn then went on to reveal a “one month post op” photo, writing how she was “very disappointed” with her results, noting her nose still looked “so long” and “droopy.”
The Utah mom also reflected three months post-op with another snapshot.
“Swelling has gone down much more, but I still think it’s only ‘ok’ after so much pain, time, and money,” she said. “Plus, breathing doesn’t seem to be helped at all!?”
Bronwyn revealed she had “made peace” with her nose since her previous surgery but decided to have “a revision” done.
“Nose is four years post op so no swelling, but still seems: wide at brim, long and the tip droopy,” she shared, implying that her first revision was done in 2016. “I am confident but want to look better so [I’m] in a much more appropriate place to have plastic surgery. The first time I was insecure, and I don’t think you should get surgery in that mind frame.”
In another Instagram Story video, Bronwyn detailed the thought process behind getting the surgery and the “red flags” she experienced with her surgeon.
“I always wanted a different nose for as long as I can remember,” Bronwyn reflected in the clip. “It was kind of an ill-advised time to [have the surgery], I kind of did it four or five months before [my] wedding.”
Bronwyn added that the procedure was something she did for herself and that she initially felt good about her choice of surgeon in San Francisco, where she and Todd lived at the time.
“I went and had a consultation with him and there should have been red flags right from the jump,” Bronwyn revealed. “He did not take our consultation very seriously, he was not listening to what I was saying about what I was hoping for as an outcome.”
The fashion maven added that the surgeon also seemed to be more focused on her cystic acne scars from her teen years and convincing her to get breast implants.
“Every one of those things should have been red flags,” she explained. “Also, I should have been a much better advocate for myself and known that he was making me feel really uncomfortable.”
Following that revision surgery, Bronwyn revealed her results as she was healing from her third rhinoplasty.
“I can see the width is thinner though, and the tip much more lifted. Also, they fixed my septum and it’s amazing how good the breathing is!” she gushed. “I am so hopeful for the final product I’m totally happy with soon post swelling.”
“Still a bit swollen but I am loving what I see so far! It feels great!” she exclaimed, showing off the results of her new nose but lamenting about the restrictions upon her during healing.
“I am just acne-prone and have been worrying!” she continued. “I haven’t been as able to really do all my full skincare routine when I casts/stent and even after have to be careful with certain products…I def miss it!”
Additionally, on October 6, Bronwyn reflected on her rhinoplasty journey in her Instagram Stories after a follower asked if she was “happy with [her] revision.”
“Honestly yes!” Bronwyn exclaimed over a photo of herself with her husband, Todd, and Derek Jeter. “It was a feature I was very self conscious about and now I’m not, but I also still feel like I look like myself!”
Bronwyn also shouted-out Dr. Scott K. Thompson of Utah Facial Plastics for his work. “[He] did it for me and was so helpful and amazing!”
