ROCHESTER — It was a high-scoring night for Century as the Panthers took down Faribault 82-75 in Big Nine Conference play.
There were four players who dropped double-digit points for the Panthers — Ahmed Hussein scored 18, Sabir Ahmed had 18, Ricky Wengert tallied 17 and Mike Ruff grabbed 14.
Century is 5-6 overall and 4-3 in the Big Nine. The Panthers host Mayo at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11.

MANKATO — Mayo was no match for Mankato East in Big Nine Conference play on Thursday.
The Spartans were down 43-19 at halftime and ultimately fell 73-46.
The Cougars had four players score 10 or more points. Elliot Myszkowski led Mayo with 10 points. Justin Matey added nine points.
“Tough loss on the road. Mankato East is a fantastic basketball team and they showed why tonight,” Mayo coach Pat Franko said. “Credit to their players for making it difficult for us all night.”

The Lions led 41-29 at the half and shot 12-for-19 from the line.
Luke Friese had a standout 27 points for SA with three three-pointers while Ethan VanSchepen added 22 points and 23 rebounds for the Lions. Carter Glynn led Grand Meadow with 14 points.
