BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The second edition of the men’s and women’s golf NAIA Coaches’ Poll have been released, and both Coastal Georgia golf teams remained ranked from two weeks ago with the men remaining ranked fifth while the women moved up one spot to number 18.
The men ended their fall season with a first place finish at the Bojangles Fall Classic in Vonore, Tenn. back on October 12-13, which saw them defeat multiple ranked teams including number one Dalton State by 17 strokes. Freshman Jake Ackerman also picked up the individual medalist, winning with a final score of 11 under.
Dalton State remains ranked number one followed by Lindsey Wilson, Keiser, Oklahoma City, and the Mariners who round out the top five.
For the women, they ended their fall season on Tuesday with a sixth place finish at the SEU Fire Fall Invitational, wrapping up their four match fall season. Madelyn Taylor wrapped up another solid fall season, finishing inside the top five multiple times, while Carlin Paulk added a second place finish at the CCGA Fall Invite back in September.
Keiser sits atop the women’s poll followed by British Columbia, SCAD-Savannah, Lindsey Wilson, and Marian.
Both golf teams return to action in February for their respective winter invitationals.
