The way the NBA is consumed, analyzed, and discussed might be at a nadir at the moment, with soundbites, negativity, hot takes, and a loose connection to both teams and game outcomes changing how the sport is engaged by a new generation of fans. Some of this new era (like the level of access for fans of the sport to learn more about the game than ever) is for the good, but a lot of it is also harmful, such as how betting has transformed how people treat the players.
Hall of Fame Boston Celtics forwards Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce sat down with guest and former Boston teammate Tony Allen on a recent episode of their “KG Certified” show to talk about these changes, and the Big Ticket in particular had a lot to talk about.
