Star Boston Celtics guard Derrick White is making a difference in his local community. From his work with the Special Olympics Massachusetts, and the Curbside Care program for young local families, to several community court renovations and programs dedicated to encouraging fitness for kids earned him the Celtics’ Shamrock Foundation’s 2024 Community Champion award.
On a roster with players like Jrue Holiday and Jaylen Brown, both known for their philanthropy in the greater Boston area and beyond, White has carved out his own rep for a community assist. And the team put together a clip to highlight some of it for their fans.
