COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – On Tuesday, the Colorado Springs Police Department said they were searching for additional information after a possible DNA match was found for human bone was located on a Colorado Springs golf course last year.
Police said a human bone was found at Patty Jewett Golf Course in May 2024.
CSPD detectives from the homicide unit were contacted by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office about a possible human bone found on the golf course. Police said no other remains were found after several additional searches of the course.
Police said they learned the bone found on the golf course was a human femur.
Police said DNA testing revealed a possible match 55-year-old Donald Gillison. They said the last recorded contact with Gillison was in 2016, and police are investigating the circumstances of the bone being recovered.
As of Tuesday afternoon, police said there was no indication of foul play.
