When things get tough with football there’s only one thing to do. Not talk about football and talk about basketball instead! So that’s what Ryan and I start out the latest episode of the podcast talking about. Purdue basketball started the season with a 17 point victory over Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Now, was the team perfect? No. Were there challenges that will need to be worked on going forward? Absolutely. Are there going to be growing pains without Zach Edey? Of course. But none of that makes basketball season any less fun for me. I’m so excited to see what the new guys can do and to see how the team meshes without the back to back National Player of the Year on the floor.
Then, unfortunately, we did have to talk about the upcoming football game against Ohio State. I’m really not sure what there is to say about a game that we all know is going to be ugly. The Spoilermakers aren’t walking through that door folks. So we try to get in, say what we have to say, and then get out. Purdue football!
