HOUSTON – Houston Police are investigating after a body was found in a submerged vehicle at a Bay Oaks Country Club pond on Thursday morning.
What we know:
The vehicular crimes investigators and dive team officers were called to the scene.
The vehicle was seen submerged at 7 a.m.
A body was found in a submerged vehicle at a Bay Oaks Country Club pond.
The body was discovered by officers around 9:30 a.m.
The area where the vehicle is submerged is near the intersection of Bay Oaks Blvd. and Clear Lake City Blvd., which is in the southeast part of the city.
Police say an 83-year-old man lost control of his vehicle and drove into the pond.
The investigation shows the man may have had a medical episode, but the cause is still under investigation.

The person inside the vehicle has not been identified.
