CLEAR LAKE, Texas – Authorities are piecing together what led up to a truck getting submerged inside a Clear Lake golf course pond where a body was also uncovered.

Details are limited, as it’s an active investigation but the Houston Police Department said its Vehicular Crimes Division and Dive Team were out at Bay Oaks Country Club around 7 a.m. when a truck was found submerged inside the water.
Our vehicular crimes investigators & Dive Team officers are on scene of a person found deceased inside a vehicle found in a golf course pond at 14100 Bay Oaks Blvd @ Clear Lake City Blvd.
The vehicle was seen submerged at 7 a.m. The body was discovered by officers about 9:30 am.

Officers said they later found a person’s body inside the submerged truck around 9:30 a.m.
