SAN ANTONIO – Police are investigating after an officer discovered a dead body in an abandoned golf cart left in the woods.
Around 3:50 p.m. Saturday, an on-duty Park Police officer was patrolling the North Salido Trail system behind Walker Ranch Park.
While patrolling the officer noticed a suspicious object in a wooded area near the trails.
The officer entered the wooded area, and upon investigation, found a golf cart wedged into some overgrown shrubbery, with a carpet or tarp covering the passenger area.
When the officer revived the covering, he was shocked to find the body of a deceased male, around 20 or 30 years of age.
Preliminary investigations show that foul play may have been involved in the young man’s death.
