Blazers’ Donovan Clingan Left Off NBA Rookie Ladder
The NBA released their first edition of the 2024-25 Rookie Ladder, and the Blazers’ Donovan Clingan missed the top ten. Only three top-ten draft picks made the list: the Wizards’ Alexandre Sarr, Atlanta’s Zaccharie Risacher, and at the top, the Grizzlies’ Zach Edey. Here is the full top ten.

Clingan has averaged 4.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in 13.3 minutes per game in his first eight games. He has started the season playing behind the Blazers’ starting center, Deandre Ayton, and has shown strong defense statistically.
The player in second place, Bub Carrington, was chosen by the Wizards with the 14th pick. They acquired that pick on draft night from the Portland Trail Blazers as part of the Deni Avdija trade.
