It also means that our annual Black Friday Cheat Sheet is here & ready to cut through the noise! Each year, we focus on finding the absolute best deals — the pieces we’d personally buy, or, in some cases, the things we already own, love, and can highly recommend. (So, like, the opposite of this, haha). Whether you’re looking for a wardrobe refresh (hello boots, coats, cozy cashmere sweaters), updating your home, or stocking up on beauty faves, there’s likely something worth perusing, below.

Start Here: Our Top Black Friday Deals, 2024

Below is a short list of sales (and pieces) I’m the most excited about personally. No rhyme or reason, other than my (usual) strong opinions. 😉

1. The best cashmere on sale for Black Friday? I can personally vouch for how deliciously thick Nordstrom’s striped cashmere sweater is (really cute on, too), or peek at Naadam’s current sale for cashmere in unexpected shapes. EX: Naadam’s asymmetric cashmere sweater or this shrug-and-tank set (I have it in black) are amazing night out options, while this lightweight cropped cardigan is great for everyday. For playful takes on classic cashmere, I love the look (and colors!!) of Crush Cashmere – the sale prices are great (this one is my fav).
2. Or just cute & cozy sweaters? If you don’t care about cashmere, this J.Crew fair isle sweater is soooo cute (also as a cardigan). Or this Zadag + Voltaire one made me gasp aloud. Pricey, even on sale, but…wow.
3. Thanks, D! Danielle found these full-length, faux-leather trousers at Banana and my head almost exploded. They’re…perfection. Just chic and elegant and so impossibly cool.
4. Party tops? Head to J.Crew! This black lace tee is so easy & cute. Or, a ruffle-y plaid shirt that reads more nonchalant than fussy, a sheer, sparkling knit, or this embellished tee.
5. Best jeans on sale for Black Friday? My absolute top pick for jeans right now are these wide-leg Levi’s with a drawstring belt, currently 30% off (TTS, available in multiple lengths, I own them in two colors!). Another favorite, rag&bone’s featherweight Sophie jeans are another swoon-worthy pair that rarely go on sale, as well as these J.Crew Patch-Pocket Jeans that I’ve been eyeing up forever (great reviews, too). Lastly, maybe no one cares (haha), but my fav FP barrel jeans are 30% off at Nordstrom! Size down – they run a full size big.
6. The new ankle bootie: These Steve Madden booties look like my Loeffler Randall’s (they’re the perfect shape), as well as this leather pair from Nordstrom. For a slightly higher price point, J.Crew’s Stevie booties are great (and 30% off).
7. Comfort Party shoes. These Cole Haan silver mary janes are SUCH good party shoes. They look like an old pair I have but wish were a *little* more comfortable. Cole Haan is usually a safe bet for comfort.
8. Lounge & cozy stuff, on sale. I swear by Athleta’s fleece joggers, especially in the new, piped colorways. (Matching top, here.) If you like waffle knits as much as I do, check out SKIM’s chic, waffle-knit PJ pants (with a matching long-sleeve).
9. 100% Silk sells out first. If you also have a penchant for 100% silk tops (and stalk them on sale)…this pretty, playful one, or this rich, gorgeous one that could be worn to work, too.
10. Best coats on sale? Two words: Banana Republic. This wool coat is haunting my dreams (the drape! the nonchalance!) or – oh help – here’s another. If you prefer a puffer, Banana’s flannel long puffer looks downright designer and so freaking chic.
11. Sephora Beauty Insiders Sale has started…if you haven’t yet, go for the Dyson Airwap or hair dryer. They’re total game-changers. Otherwise, swap your foundation for Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter for every upcoming holiday event – it’s pure magic.

Since we’ve been doing this for 10+ years, we finally figured out the best way to gather up all the most intriguing sales, the ones worth our time, attention and money. And, to be blunt (it’s already been a month, straight-up honesty is where we’re at), it’s this cheat sheet. Look no further for the most effective skincare, makeup and hair products to buy this holiday season (fingers crossed that this is the year the Dennis Gross LED face mask goes on sale). We’re also eyeing the most satisfying and useful kitchen appliances (Laura says Breville Air Fryer, I always say VitaMix), as well as Parachute’s luxe linen sheets — they literally only go on sale twice a year, and this is one of them! (Sidenote: they’re not on sale…yet. But they will be, once we get closer to actual Black Friday.)

We’re looking at holiday pieces like J.Crew’s entire burgundy moment and – gasp – these STUNNING faux-leather pants at Banana that makes for a really elegant (and cool!!) holiday look.

If wardrobe essentials are what you’re looking for, these jeans are a personal fav, striped sweaters (classic stripes in 100% cashmere vs playful, colorful stripes?), the sweatshirt I wear almost daily (‘shadow brown’ is gorgeous in person) and workout leggings (boring, maybe, but that stash pocket!).

Beauty: The Best Black Friday Sales, 2024 (Skincare, Makeup & Hair Products)

This time of year is usually when we stock up on our fave beauty products, so you can count on these picks to be beauty stuff we’ve sworn by for years. The entire team loves this indulgent cleansing balm (I’ve been using Green Clean but it’s not nearly as luxurious – I’m debating switching back) and am definitely picking up Briogeo’s Ultimate Hair Heroes Set. It’s basically our family’s two most-used hair products, bundled together and 36% off! Also, Biossance is 22% off sitewide — this moisturizer + this oil + this eye cream is a combo beloved by both Amy & Em (and I can vouch for that Rose Oil).

Home: The Best Black Friday Sales, 2024 (Kitchen Appliances, Tech & Decor)

The home sale section is so fun to peruse – it’s where I usually get lost scrolling, late at night (Food52’s sale section can be downright dangerous). Of course, there’s the kitchen appliances and cookware we swear by (Our Place is 40% off our faves like the Always Pan), but the home decor is a joy to comb through, too — Anthro and Target always have some good finds.
