Black Friday Came Early: These Are the Sales You Don’t Need to Wait For

It’s no mystery that Black Friday is no longer a one-day affair. It’s not even a five-day affair, bookended by Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday. This year, it’s a full-fledged month-long event: Many of our favorite brands declared “it’s tiiime!” along with Mariah Carey on November 1 this year.

Our team of shopping editors — who cover deals all year round — is starting to track Black Friday deals now. Of course, some deals will get better as the big day (November 29) gets closer. Some won’t. That’s why we’re here — to report on which sales are worth shopping when.

Our scoop on early Black Friday sales:

We’re happy to report that some early Black Friday sales have promos that are similar, or the same, as they will be during Cyber Week. We kicked off our exclusive 20% off deal with Saatva, the Good Housekeeping Institute’s top-tested mattress brand, today — and this deal will stay the same through December 3.

Some of the most surprising early deals are on luggage and kitchen: Monos, Caraway and Our Place are all brands that rarely have sales, but they’re all doing steady, long-term deals this month so you don’t have to stress-shop over Thanksgiving weekend (which we appreciate).

The first major retailer to officially kick off its sale was Target, with the first wave of deals ending this weekend. Walmart is up next, with online-exclusive deals landing on November 11. Amazon has been tight-lipped about its Black Friday plans this year, but we will keep you posted as soon as we learn more.

Deal: The coastal-chic furniture brand’s Sale of the Year is happening now, with discounts up to 40% off.

Deal: The first round of Target’s Black Friday sale is happening now. A fresh crop of deals will come weekly.

Deal: Ulta is having early Black Friday beauty deals all month long. Similar to its popular 21 Days of Beauty sale, there are different deals on a rolling weekly basis.

Dates: Now through November 23; Cyber Week deals to come.

Deal: Wayfair’s Black Friday preview is live now, with deals up to 70% off. While the discounts are high now, the selection will be vastly expanded when Wayfair’s official Black Friday sale begins on November 21. Same goes for Wayfair’s sister brands AllModern, Birch Lane and Joss & Main.
