The Bills sack Aaron Rodgers twice and force a punt. Buffalo takes over with 2:49 left in the half and a chance to extend a 13-10 lead.
Week 6 of the NFL season marks a reset of sorts for the New York Jets.
The club fired head coach Robert Saleh last week after a 23-17 loss to the Vikings in London, in which Aaron Rodgers threw three interceptions, including a pick-6 in the first quarter. Now, defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich takes over on an interim basis and will try to right the ship for the 2-3 Jets, who have a shot at first place in the AFC East with a win over the Bills.
The 3-2 Bills have lost two straight — a blowout loss to the surging Ravens and a walk-off loss to the Texans last week on a 59-yard Ka’imi Fairbairn field goal. Josh Allen was temporarily knocked out of that game with head and ankle injuries, but was cleared in the concussion protocol and returned. While he didn’t turn the ball over — and hasn’t thrown an interception yet this season in 131 pass attempts — he was just 9-for-30 for 131 yards passing in that loss, a huge chunk of which came on a 49-yard catch and run by rookie receiver Keon Coleman.
