SIKESTON, Mo. (KFVS) – Golf carts will now be allowed on Sikeston city streets after a bill was amended at the city council meeting Monday night.
But there are some rules drivers need to follow.
The golf carts will have to be insured and licensed with the city, andmust be equipped with all the same safety equipment required of UTVs. This includes seat belts and booster seats for children.
Drivers must have their driver’s license, be 18 years old or older and will not be allowed to operate on streets with posted speeds of 45 mph or more.
