The inaugural season of the Big Cricket League is here, as the city of Surat prepares for a cricket fiesta in December. As we approach the year’s end, former international stars and local aspiring cricketers are set to take the field for a ten-day cricket tournament.

Six teams will contest for the inaugural BCL crown as Yusuf and Irfan Pathan, Shikhar Dhawan, Lendl Simmons, and Herschelle Gibbs, are featured in the exhibition tournament. The tournament aims to provide a platform for aspiring cricketers who have left pursuing the sport due to a lack of opportunities coming their way.
The Sporting News provides all the results, fixtures and points table ahead of the inaugural season of the Big Cricket League 2024.
The inaugural BCL season will begin on December 12, 2024, and end on December 22. There will be 18 matches, including two semi-finals and a final. The top four teams at the end of the group stage will qualify for the knockout rounds, scheduled for December 21.
Each team will play the remaining teams for once in the league stage. The results of the five group games will determine their fate ahead of the playoffs.
