Melbourne Stars thrashed Hobart Hurricanes by 40 runs to seal their place in the Big Bash League knockouts.
Stars, who won their final five games after starting with five defeats, posted 219-5 with 76 not out of 32 balls and Beau Webster making 51 off 31 balls.
Hurricanes, who were already guaranteed top spot, were bowled out for 179 with Mark Steketee taking 4-24.
Stars will face Sydney Thunder in the Eliminator on Tuesday. The loser will be eliminated and the winner will progress to Qualifier 2 on 24 January.
The knockouts start with Hurricanes facing Sydney Sixers in the Qualifier 1. The winner progresses to the final on 27 January and the loser will get a second chance in Qualifier 2.
