The Fall Senior Golf Cart Tour in Bettendorf is Monday, Sept. 9. here will be two sessions. The two-hour ride will leave at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. from Palmer Hills Golf Course, 2999 Middle Road.
Tours are free, but participants are required to register. Registration, which began Wednesday, Aug. 14, is limited to 70 people for each tour. Go here to register.
Held twice a year in spring and fall, the golf cart tour travels along the Duck Creek Recreation Trail from Palmer Hills to Riverdale back to Palmer Hills.
Transportation will be via golf carts provided by the city-owned Palmer Hills. These carts may be operated by the participants or operators will be provided for those choosing to not drive themselves. Drivers must be at least 18 years old.
Stops will be made at several sites along the way. Liquid refreshments will be provided.
The tour is presented by the Friends of Bettendorf Parks & Recreation. Bettendorf Parks & Recreation Department is a partner and its endorsed by the City of Bettendorf.
Friends is a nonprofit organization. Its mission is to improve quality of life in Bettendorf by assisting in development and improvement of our recreational amenities. Funds raised by Friends have supported many projects. They include Special Populations events, Movies in the Park, Crow Creek Dog Park amenities, ice cream socials for the Bettendorf Community Band, funding assistance for recreation programs, and more.
There will be no rain date for the golf cart tour.
