The undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4, and I expect Mike Tomlin’s team to maintain their perfect record. The Colts enter this matchup at 1-2, having secured their first win last Sunday against the Bears by relying heavily on their ground game for 150 rushing yards.
However, quarterback Anthony Richardson struggles with accuracy, completing only 49.3% of his passes with 3 touchdowns and 6 interceptions, making it likely he will face challenges against the Steelers’ formidable defense, which ranks 5th in the NFL, allowing just 157.7 passing yards per game and recording 4 interceptions.
The Steelers have proven their strength, recently earning their first home win of the season by stifling a Chargers offense that had previously excelled in the run game, holding them to just 61 rushing yards. With the Colts averaging 131.3 rushing yards per game (11th in the NFL) against a Steelers defense that allows only 71.3 rushing yards (tied for 2nd in the NFL), I expect Pittsburgh to dominate on both sides of the ball.
Additionally, the Colts may be without key defensive players DE Tyquan Lewis and CB Kenny Moore II, while RT Braden Smith’s questionable status could further hinder their offensive efforts.
Given these factors, I predict the Steelers will win straight up, as they have consistently won by two or more points in 22 regular-season games.
