Long Island State Parks
Looking for a more affordable bucket-list course to add to your itinerary? Our newest list has you covered. On Wednesday, we published our first-ever list of America’s best golf courses you can play for $100 or less, with the lone caveats being they are accessible to the public and offer a peak-season weekend walking rate that does not exceed $100.
Let’s be clear: these courses are no slouches.
You can walk Wild Horse Golf Club in Nebraska for $75 max, and it also appeared at No. 49 on GOLF’s latest ranking of the 100 best public courses. George Wright in Massachusetts, a 1938 Donald Ross design, also made both lists. It’s $62 for a peak walking rate and was ranked as the 59th-best public course. We could keep going. Bethpage Red and the Warren Course at Notre Dame? Yep, they made both lists, too.
There are more, but it’s time you check out the list yourself, which you in fact helped curate (along with GOLF raters, editors and industry experts). And for your quick-viewing pleasure, scroll below to see our state-by-state ranking, in which 35 states were represented. The next task is easy: book your tee times.
