WALTHAM, Mass. – The fall season for the Bentley University men’s golf team will draw to a close in the coming days with the Falcons competing in the Post Eagles Invitational Monday and Tuesday at the Watertown Golf Club in Waterbury, Conn.
The Falcons have been led this fall by a pair of seniors Evan Desjardins (Salem, N.H./Salem HS) and Chris Huban (Cohoes, N.Y./Albany Academy), with stroke averages of 74.2 and 75.9, respectively. Desjardins was the team’s top finisher in both the Granite State Opener and the Penmen Invitational, and Huban led the Falcons in the Franklin Pierce Invitational.
Bentley’s top golfer in last week’s Northeast-10 Championships was another senior, Bennett Berg (Portland, Maine/Portland HS). He placed 12th with three consecutive rounds with a four-over 74.
The top team finish to date came in the Southern New Hampshire-hosted Penmen Invitational when they tied for fourth among eight teams.
