WATERBURY, Conn. – The fall portion of the Bentley University men’s golf season drew to a close Tuesday with the Falcons finishing eighth among 12 teams in the Post Eagles Invitational at the Watertown Golf Club.
Bentley had the seventh best final round score and registered a 308-318-313-939.
Senior Bennett Berg (Portland, Maine/Portland HS) was Bentley’s number one golfer for the second straight tournament. He tied for 14th in a field of 69 with a 74-76-78-228.
Also for the Falcons, Chris Huban (Cohoes, N.Y./Albany Academy) tied for 22nd (76-80-77-233) and Evan Desjardins (Salem, N.H./Salem HS) tied for 33rd with a 78-81-79-238.
Desjardins was the Falcons’ top golfer for the fall with a 75.5 stroke average.
St. Thomas Aquinas captured the team championship by three strokes over Dominican University (N.Y.) and the tournament medalist was Post’s Joe Ensign with a two-over 215. That was one stroke better than Dominican’s Alexander Lundvall.
