Ben Shelton of the United States will take on Daniil Medvedev of Russia in the first singles match on Day 3 of the 2024 Laver Cup. Shelton will try to give Team World their fourth singles win of the event, though he needs to bring his A-game because he’s up against one of Team Europe’s finest in Daniil Medvedev. The hard-hitting American seeks to avenge his Day 2 singles loss to Carlos Alcaraz 4-6, 4-6. In that match, Shelton fired four aces but could not break the Spaniard in five chances.
