Spain boss Luis de la Fuente has confirmed that Barcelona new signing Dani Olmo has picked up a “bad knock” and is a doubt for the team’s next game.
Olmo started in the 0-0 draw with Serbia last time out but is a doubt for Spain’s next game on Sunday against Switzerland.
De la Fuente offered an update on the forward at a news conference, and his comments will not go down well back in Barcelona.
“Dani Olmo has a bad knock from the last game and we don’t know how he will feel between now and tomorrow,” he told a press conference.
“In any case we have two wonderful forwards in Ayoze and Joselu and we have a clear plan that we want to deploy on the pitch.”
Barcelona are already having to deal without a host of key players due to injury and will certainly not want to see Olmo ruled out after the attacker made a great start to the season following his move from RB Leipzig.
