Bale left Madrid to join Major League Soccer side Los Angeles FC in June 2022.
He retired from football at the age of 33 in January 2023.
Liverpool are top of the Champions League league phase after four rounds of matches and are the only team with a perfect record.
Real Madrid are 18th after two wins and two defeats from their four games.
They were beaten 3-1 at home by AC Milan in their last fixture.
